It's hard to believe that the u2band has celebrated its 30th birthday, especially since the band found much of its fame in the 80's and 90'.  But this band came from humble beginnings, namely a posted note on the Dublin school notice board from fourteen-year-old Larry Mullen Jr. announcing a call for musicians to join a new rock band.  Seven boys showed up and became known as "The Larry Mullen Adventure," including Adam Clayton, Paul Hewson, Dave Evans, Dick Evans, and soon to be AWOL members Ivan McCormick and Peter Martin.
 
Now the u2band is one of the most popular acts in the world and has sold over 170 million albums with 22 Grammy Awards since their musical debut.  How can you join in on the u2band celebration?  It's probably a bit too late to join the band as that open call ended decades ago, but you can still feel like part of the u2band experience with u2band music cds, and even buying and wearing your own u2band band tshirts . 
 
Why not wear a u2band t shirt to commemorate 30 years of u2band's innovative contributions to music?     The u2band had humble beginnings, which continues to be an encouragement to aspiring musicians today.  As a wise man (or musician) once said, "You can dream, so dream out loud."
